Christine Jessica Reilly and Robert Daniel Cecot were married on Aug. 12 at Stone Tavern Farm in Roxbury, N.Y. Judge Margaret C. Reilly, the surrogate of Nassau County and an aunt of the bride, officiated.

The bride, 29, will continue to use her name professionally. She is the author of “Sunday’s on the Phone to Monday” (Touchstone, 2016) and teaches fiction and poetry at the Writer’s Village at Sarah Lawrence College, in Bronxville, N.Y., and at the Gotham Writers Workshop, in Manhattan. She graduated from Bucknell University and received a master’s degree in poetry from Sarah Lawrence.

She is the daughter of Harriet Mayer Reilly and Joseph M. Reilly Jr. of Cedarhurst, N.Y. The bride’s father develops mainframe software in the Islandia, N.Y., office of CA Technologies, a software company.

The groom, 31, is a portfolio manager in the Manhattan office of Balyasny Asset Management. He graduated cum laude from Harvard and received an M.B.A. from Stanford.

He is the son of Anna Bajon Cecot and Zbigniew H. Cecot of Brooklyn. His mother retired as a data verification specialist at the Refugee Data Center, then a unit of the State Department in Manhattan. His father, who is retired, was the sous-chef at the Oak Room in the Plaza Hotel.

The couple met in 2010 at the birthday party of a mutual friend in Manhattan.
