Cook Space Culinary Studio is a new cooking school and catering facility in Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, from the restaurateur Michelle Jackson Mannix, the chef Nini Nguyen and Lara Southern, a Londoner who has worked in similar spaces. Cook Space specializes in six-week workshops at different levels and offers small hands-on classes. In the coming weeks, they’ll cover cooking with apples, Vietnamese street food, turkey brining and Thanksgiving sides. Children can also learn yummy skills like how to make dim sum. The complex has elegant catering spaces for dinner parties and food events: Cook Space Culinary Studio, 603 Bergen Street (Carlton Avenue), Prospect Heights, Brooklyn, 631-830-1117, cookspacebrooklyn.com.
